If you are a connoisseur of fine movies, like we are, you are always on the lookout for stories that make you gasp. Good, so glad you agree on the importance of plot. Bad guy kills wife/child, man tracks down and kills bad guy is getting a bit thin these days.
So, let’s go back to 1957 – I heard that gasp! It’s a black and white movie – another gasp. Seriously! You guys say don’t judge, so what are those gasps?
Witness for the Prosecution really is one of the greatest movies ever made. Nominated for 6 Oscars including Best Picture, it’s a phenomenal story of a veteran British barrister defending his client in a murder trial that has surprise after surprise. Whilst the film may be 60 years old, it’s still one of the best courtroom dramas we have ever seen and that is underlined by the 100% score from Rotten Tomatoes.
